Mama Kẹ́mi  is an arts, culture, and education specialist with 20+ years of experience empowering scholars of all ages through arts-infused, culturally relevant pedagogy.​​ From infants to post-secondary students, from pre-school to detention centers, her expertise lies within the ability to master arts-infused education and culturally relevant pedagogy. LaShaunda brings passion into any learning environment with an energy that is unmatched.  Known as the “breath of fresh air” and the one that people “could listen to all day”, she brings a fresh perspective and deep cultural wisdom to the philosophy of pedagogy.

My name is Adia Blackmon Shabazz. I am a singer, educator, healer and seamstress. I graduated Hampton University (the REAL HU lol) with a degree in English and Education. I am a yoga teacher trained in the Kripalu tradition. I'm a licensed minister and an initiated traditional Akan priest. I'm also a seamstress and sew for my family and friends.
